How to use this template

Fill in every bracket. Keep each section within the time range shown. Record to camera or use text-on-screen for each line. For COD markets, urgency and simplicity perform better than polished production.

HOOK (0 to 3 seconds)

Have you ever [describe a specific, relatable frustration the customer has]?

Example: “Have you ever spent 20 minutes looking for something in your messy kitchen?”

PROBLEM (3 to 8 seconds)

[One or two sentences that expand on the frustration. Make the viewer feel seen.]

Example: “Everything ends up in the wrong drawer. You open three cabinets just to find a spatula. Every single morning.”

SOLUTION REVEAL (8 to 15 seconds)

Introducing [product name]. [One sentence: what it does and the single biggest reason it is different.]

Example: “Introducing the MagnaOrganizer. It attaches to any surface with no screws, and everything has its own slot.”

VISUAL DEMO (15 to 22 seconds)

[Describe what to show on screen. This is the most important part of a COD ad. Show the product working, not just existing.]

Example: “Show the wall mount going up in 10 seconds. Show items being placed one by one. Cut to the clean kitchen. Show someone grabbing a utensil without searching.”

CALL TO ACTION (22 to 30 seconds)

Order now at [store name]. Cash on delivery, free returns. Link in bio.

Adjust the offer to match your actual terms. Mention COD explicitly. It is the trust signal that converts fence-sitters.

What to avoid

Do not show the product sitting still. Motion converts in short-form video. Show it being used.

Do not open with your brand name. The hook must earn the viewer’s attention before you earn the right to introduce yourself.

Do not read a list of features. Show one benefit that solves the exact problem you named in the hook.

Keep the CTA short. One action. One link. One offer.
